Leadership Development
Become the leader your next chapter requires.
Whether you are stepping into a new role, navigating a difficult professional relationship, or learning how to influence decisions without formal authority, coaching gives you dedicated space to strengthen your judgment, communication, and confidence. Work directly with Laurice Walker on the real situations shaping your professional growth.
1:1 Leadership Coaching
You do not need an executive title to face difficult leadership decisions.
ISA helps professionals and managers navigate workplace relationships, manage up, communicate with confidence, influence without formal authority, and lead in ways that reflect their values.
Whether you are preparing for greater responsibility, navigating a difficult relationship with senior leadership, or learning to advocate for yourself and your ideas, coaching provides a confidential space to strengthen how you lead.
What coaching looks like
Coaching here is a working relationship with a defined shape, not an open-ended series of conversations.
- An initial discussion. A conversation about the situation you are in and what you want to be different. No assessment, screening, or organizational diagnosis is required to begin, and there is no obligation to continue.
- Agreed goals. You and the coach settle what you are working on and how you will know it is working. Goals stay tied to your real situation rather than a generic curriculum.
- A coaching cadence. Regular one-to-one sessions, scheduled around your commitments, working on the situations in front of you as they arise.
- Periodic review. At set points you review progress against the agreed goals and decide whether to continue, adjust the focus, or stop.
Coaching is separate from ISA’s organizational consulting. If your situation calls for an organizational assessment, that is a different conversation, and the coaching relationship will not be used to deliver it.
What leadership development is here
Most leadership development teaches frameworks. ISA builds judgment: the capacity to read an institutional situation accurately and act on it under pressure, when the information is incomplete and the stakes are real.
That means working on live problems rather than case studies, and measuring progress against what actually changes in the organization.
Formats
- Individual leadership coaching: one-on-one work for professionals, managers, and directors. No executive title is required, and no organizational assessment or screening is needed to begin.
- Executive coaching: one-on-one work with senior leaders and emerging executives on the patterns that help or hurt them in high-stakes moments.
- Employer-sponsored leadership development: coaching or a development program funded by the organization for a named leader or a cohort, with agreed goals and progress reporting.
- Workshops and facilitated learning: retreats, facilitated sessions, and management education built around your organization’s actual context. These produce decisions and a way to act on them, not just conversation.
Who this is for
Individual professionals, emerging managers, and directors, along with employer-sponsored leaders and teams. Executives and leadership teams are welcome too. No organizational assessment or screening is required.
What changes
Leaders who can name what is actually happening, teams that resolve disagreement instead of avoiding it, and a bench that is ready before the vacancy exists.

Frequently Asked Questions
Is coaching individual or team based?
Both. Executive coaching is one-on-one. Workshops, retreats, and leadership programs work with teams and cohorts. Many engagements combine the two.
How long do programs run?
Coaching engagements commonly run three, six, or twelve months. Workshops and retreats are typically half-day or multi-day. Programs are scoped to the organization.
Do you offer executive education for conferences?
Yes. ISA delivers keynotes, breakout sessions, and customized training for leadership audiences. See the speaking page for formats.
